Tank Containers
Overview
Tank containers are special containers designed for the safe and efficient transport of liquids and gases. They feature a structure compliant with international standards (ISO), characterized by a cylindrical tank enclosed within a steel frame. Compatible with multiple transport modes—including sea, rail, and truck—they are widely used from international logistics to domestic transport. Main applications include the transport of chemical products, liquid foodstuffs, hazardous materials, and even liquefied gases.
Features
Tank containers are designed with an emphasis on safety and efficiency in liquid transport. The tank portion is typically made of corrosion-resistant stainless steel, and the exterior may feature insulation or protective layers.
The standard size is usually 20-foot, with a loading capacity of approximately 20,000 to 26,000 liters.
To accommodate hazardous material transport, they comply with international safety standards (such as the IMDG Code) and are equipped with protective mechanisms like valves and safety vents.
